Three dreaded criminals arrested under PSA in Arnas, Reasi

Three persons of District Reasi namely *(1) Ajeet Singh @ Anju S/O Pritam Singh (2) Davinder Singh S/O Kartar Singh (3) Sunit Singh S/O Kapoor Singh all R/O Kanthan Batli Tehsil Arnas District Reasi* are known hardcore criminals and are habitual offenders of Police Station Arnas who are deeply involved in the criminal activities for the last so many years. All these criminals in league with other criminals have unleashed reign of fear psychosis and keep on hampering the public harmony in and around Arnas area. They are in habit of intimidating the people and provoking the Gunda elements against the local administration in their due discharge of legal duties. Moreover they often threaten the labourers employed in various developmental works being undertaken in the District. There is every apprehension that they may create law and order problems in and around Arnas area. All the three criminals have been involved in number of cases under various provisions of RPC. Out of which some cases were challaned in the court of law & some are still under investigation but all the three criminals refrained to mend their behaviour and have been again and again indulging in criminal activities which are highly prejudicial to the maintenance of public order. There are *12 criminal cases registered against Ajeet Singh @ Anju S/O Pritam Singh, 04 against Davinder Singh S/O Kartar Singh and 03 against Sunit Singh S/O Kapoor Singh.*

These persons were indentified and their dossier were prepared and submitted to the competent authority. Agreeing with the recommendations of Police, the competent authority found that roaming freely of such person is a serious threat to the peace in the area and they may disturb the harmony among the people. They will get further involved in criminal activities if not detained and therefore, issued an order for their detention under the provisions of Public Safety Act (PSA). *The order got executed by a team of Police Station Arnas headed by Insp. Soma Ram Langeh and lodged the criminals in Kot Bhalwal Jail, Jammu.*

Identification of the habitual offender, preparation and submission of dossier and execution of the detention order has been done under the close supervison of *Sh. Ashok Sharma SDPO Arnas, Sh. Shiv Kumar Chouhan, Addl. SP Reasi and the overall supervision of Ms Nisha Nathyal JKPS, SSP Reasi.*
